DIY Dish Soap with Thieves Cleaner

Our favorite Thieves Dish Soap has been out of stock and while we are patiently waiting for it to come back, the dishes still need to be done! We ditched the conventional dish soaps (yes even those “all natural” free and a clear ones) and have no plans to go back to those days of dry, cracked hands. We’ve been using this DIY Dish Soap with Thieves Cleaner to get us through until our favorite dish soap comes back in stock.

DIY Dish Soap

1/2 cup distilled water

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 capfuls Thieves Household Cleaner

10-15 drops Lemon essential oil

10 drops Tea Tree or Thieves essential oil

1 Tbsp. Organic Vegetable Glycerin, optional

In your glass bottle, combine distilled water and baking soda and shake or stir well to combine. Add Thieves Household Cleaner, essential oils, and then carefully pour in your Castile soap and vegetable glycerin. Swirl or stir carefully to combine.

Dispense a small amount of soap with warm running water. Add additional soap as needed.

Just a note, this DIY Dish Soap bubbles, but not like the super suds you’re used to. We have been trained through advertising that suds equals clean, when really chemicals equal suds and a little soap, water, and scrubbing equals truly clean. No sodium laurel sulfate here, less suds is fine by us.
