Not just for scent, essential oils completely changed the way I thought about health.
I wasn’t always interested in natural wellness, but a chronic health diagnosis that I received while trying to conceive my first child was a wake up call that forever changed the way I live. After a complete diet overhaul my husband and I felt so much better that we set out to clean up other areas of our life. Amidst the chaos of a growing family, and a tight budget, we started switching out conventional household and personal care items for natural alternatives. I was making a homemade toothpaste for my toddlers when I realized the label on the spearmint essential oil bottle said “Not for Ingestion.” That sent me on a quest to find a truly pure essential oil that I felt comfortable using on my family. I’ve been using Young Living ever since. I had no idea that essential oils could do more than just make my homemade products smell nice, but it turns out that was just the beginning. Empowered and supported by friends and our oil community, I dove in and learned how essential oils could not only reduce the toxic chemicals in my home but also how to support my body and emotions…and that was truly life changing. I am forever grateful for Young Living, not just for their products but also for the community who continues to empower and inspire me.

Why Essential Oils
Essential oils are a versatile, effective alternatives to many of today’s toxic products— they’re the unprocessed, unpatented version of many chemicals on the market today. The toxins in many conventional products deplete and disrupt energy in the body, creating stress. Pure essential oils are natural and work with the body. We know that whole foods, like fruits and vegetables, are better for us than processed junk food—that’s because our bodies can digest and absorb the nutrients easily. Similarly, essential oils are easily recognized and utilized by the body and work synergistically with our systems to nourish and support. Why does that matter? What we put in and on our bodies has an effect on our health. The more you reduce your toxic load (a.k.a. all the toxins you’re exposed to every day), the better chance your body has to work properly. In our family, we use essential oils for household cleaning, personal care, emotional support, wellness care, and sleep, just to name a few.
